Le Baron de ROUILLAC

As a tribute to Baron Haussmann, the illustrious owner of Château de Rouillac between 1864 and 1891, Laurent Cisneros is perpetuating the memory of this great builder who left his mark on history, by producing a cuvée named Le Baron de Rouillac.
  • APPELLATION A.O.C. : Pessac-Léognan White
  • TOTAL AREA: 36 hectares, including 26 hectares of vines
  • SOIL: Fine tertiary gravel
  • BLENDING: 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 16% Semillon, 14% Sauvignon Gris
  • HARVESTING: Hand-picked in crates and sorted on a sorting table.
  • VINIFICATION: 24-hour skin contact maceration, cold pneumatic pressing and alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.
  • AGEING: on lees for 6/8 months: 90% in vats and 10% in French oak barrels. Regular stirring of the lees.
