Château de ROUILLAC

The label of this Grand Vin is adorned with a Rose des Vents (Wind Rose), which is very present on the estate and can be seen on the forecourt of the Château. A symbol of direction, it represents the course set by Laurent Cisneros and his family for Château de Rouillac.
- APPELLATION A.O.C. : Pessac-Léognan Red
- TOTAL AREA: 36 hectares, including 26 hectares of vines
- SOIL: Fine tertiary gravel
- BLENDING: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot Noir
- HARVESTING: Hand-picked in crates and sorted on a sorting table.
- VINIFICATION : Alcoholic fermentation and vatting in temperature-controlled vats. Vatting time: 22 to 25 days. Cap punching and pumping over.
- AGEING: 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels, depending on the vintage (25 to 30% new barrels)
1/3 in new French oak barrels and 2/3 in one-wine barrels. Regular stirring of the lees.
